Increasing Student Persistence Through Holistic System Design

I founded this consulting practice after spending more than two decades inside complex education systems—leading at scale, navigating growth, crisis, and change, and holding deep responsibility for students, families, and the adults who serve them.

My career has been shaped by one core belief: systems matter—and people experience systems. When strategy, culture, data, and operations are misaligned, students feel it first. When they are aligned, schools become places where students persist and thrive, families trust, and leaders can focus on what truly matters.

I have had the privilege of serving as a senior executive in one of the nation’s fastest-growing charter networks. In this role, I helped scale student support services across more than 130 schools serving over 80,000 students in multiple states. My work focused on strengthening student and family engagement and retention, expanding mental health services, leading the vision and implementation of social-emotional learning programs, scaling academic assessment systems, and developing crisis prevention and response protocols. I also led the creation of positive, safe school cultures through robust MTSS systems. In those roles, I wasn’t advising from the sidelines—I was accountable. Accountable for student persistence. For compliance and care. For crisis response. For budgets. For people. For results. For students.

That experience taught me something essential: good intentions don’t scale—clear systems do. And clear systems only work when leaders understand how to move between vision and execution, between data and judgment, between urgency and care.
